Sequim Bed & Breakfasts
Welcome You to the Olympic Peninsula
The Olympic Peninsula
Bed and Breakfast Association features some of the finest
Bed and Breakfast Inns
in Sequim, Washington.
Sequim is
situated on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State, home of the
Olympic National Park and the Olympic National Forest, which
contains one of only two temperate rain forests in this hemisphere.
The Olympic Peninsula is bordered by the Strait of Juan de Fuca to
the north, with beautiful Victoria, British Columbia just beyond,
and the Pacific Ocean to the west.
Visitors will find Sequim is the perfect
destination for almost all recreational activities. Enjoy guiding a
kayak or sailboat through the pristine waters of Sequim and
Dungeness bays.
Visit Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge and the Dungeness Spit,
which is the longest natural sand spit in the United States. The
Spit is a wonderful place to view birds and marine life in their
natural habitat. Located at the end of Dungeness Spit you will find
the New Dungeness Lighthouse staffed 24-hours a day and contains an
active light.
Sunny Sequim, also know as the banana belt, features a variety of
farms and gardens that are open for public tours. Under the
beautiful sunshine, you can pick lavender, a variety of berries,
flowers, organic vegetables and more. Sequim is the official
lavender capital of the nation. The city even has a festival
dedicated to celebrating lavender. Sequim is world renowned for “The
Sequim Lavender Festival” that takes place annually during the third
weekend in July. The fragrant purple herb can be picked at U-pick
farms from July to Oct. 1. Sequim is also world renowned
The soaring Olympic Mountains decorate the city’s southern border
and the waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca create a northern
boundary. Sequim’s ideal weather is the envy of other coastal towns
and all of Western Washington.
For a true taste of the region, visit Sequim’s Open Aire Market
where local growers sell produce and artisans sell their handcrafted
items. Be sure to pack your bike, kayak, golf clubs, and binoculars
to further enjoy our lush valley. The Olympic Discovery Trail
provides bicyclists, pedestrians, runners, and equestrians a
year-round opportunity to explore the northern Olympic Peninsula.
When completed the Discovery Trail will cover 120 miles. You might
also want to bring a bucket to pick lavender or berries, or hit the
beach for some clam digging. Sequim is also famous for the flavorful
native Dungeness crab.
We’ve also
included for your convenience OPBBA members in Port Angeles,
Washington since it’s only a short distance away. Your visit can
take advantage of all that both communities have to offer visitors
to the Olympic Peninsula.
