Port Townsend Bed & Breakfasts
Welcome You to the Olympic Peninsula
The Olympic Peninsula
Bed and Breakfast Association features some of the finest
Bed and Breakfast Inns
in
Port Townsend, Washington.
Port Townsend
is situated on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State, home of
the Olympic National Park and the Olympic National Forest, which
contains one of only two temperate rain forests in this hemisphere.
The Olympic Peninsula is bordered by the Strait of Juan de Fuca to
the north, with beautiful Victoria, British Columbia just beyond,
and the Pacific Ocean to the west.
Come holiday in
picturesque Port Townsend, and you won't want to leave. Often called
the "City of Dreams," this community on Washington's scenic Olympic
Peninsula offers a variety of activities and sightseeing to satisfy
anyone's desires for relaxation and recreation.
Built in the late 1880's railroad and shipping boom, Port Townsend
was originally touted as the "San Francisco of the North." Rich in
architecture, this city is one of only two nationally registered
Victorian Seaports.
Year round events fill Port Townsend's calendar, offering
architectural and garden tours, guided beach walks, kayak rentals,
and world-class shopping. Antique buffs won't be disappointed as the
town, itself a nationally registered historical district, offers
many fine shops.
There's so much to do in Port Townsend
it's hard to keep up. From the Wooden Boat Festival to arts and
crafts shows, music and dancing, it is a year-round smorgasboard of
events. Our fair city has more happenings then the rest of the
Olympic Peninsula combined and we're always hosting the finest in
musicians and artists both nationally and internationally. |
