Port Angeles is situated on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State, home of the Olympic National Park and the Olympic National Forest, which contains one of only two temperate rain forests in this hemisphere. Appropriately called The Gateway to the Olympic National Park, it's just a hop, skip, and a jump to countless beaches, recreational areas, and hiking destinations. It's also an easy drive to the Pacific Ocean and the only temperate rain forest in the northern hemisphere. Another treat Port Angeles offers is its easy access to the jewel of British Columbia, Victoria. Once you're here, you may not want to leave!

Port Angeles is also on the Olympic Discovery Trail. The Olympic Discovery Trail provides bicyclists, pedestrians, runners, and equestrians a year-round opportunity to explore the northern Olympic Peninsula. When completed the Discovery Trail will cover 120 miles.
